"I’m not saying I’m the best. I’m not saying I’m the worst. I’m simply saying I find joy combining words into beautiful phrases that evoke emotion in others. I am declaring it in my life so I don’t allow myself to deny it ever again. For there have been times I have ignored my creativity. Times I have pushed it to the darkest corner of my mind. Times when I have resisted its pull. But the thing about being a creative is that your creativity will not give you any peace until you acknowledge it. You can’t get any sleep, for it will keep you awake and force you to release the art bottled up within. So here I am, giving in to its force, giving up my excuses and setting my creativity free. Here I am finding courage to say I am a writer."
